How do I send email as
me@my-own-domain-name.com

When you have your own domain name and have web space / email setup for it you will be able to receive email as anyone@your-domain-name.com

However, if you are using another ISP to collect your email although you will "receive" mail as anyone@your-domain-name.com you will still be sending it as email-address@your-isp.com

The real benefit of having your own domain name is to be able to send and receive mail as anyone@your-domain-name.com

The ability to "send" email as you@your-domain-name.com is a feature of your email program. With many ISP's this can be simply fixed by changing the email address in the configuration of your email program to a new address as anyone@your-domain-name.com - for more details on how to do this see here!

This will work with the majority of email programs and Internet Service Providers. However, it should be noted that not all email programs support changing the email address (they have it "hard coded") and some ISP's will not allow you to send mail through their systems using your own domain name type email address.

If either of these is true - perhaps consider using one of our dialup accounts (see here for more details). Our dialups are fully POP3 / SMTP compliant (so can be used with virtually any standard Internet email package) and will support sending mail as you@your-domain-name.com
